Body Panels

All body panels inspected for dents, scratches, rust, and any signs of previous accident repair or panel replacement.

Paint finish and colour consistency assessed across the whole vehicle. Any resprays or touch-up work noted and reported.

All glass surfaces checked for chips, cracks, and correct sealing. Window and door seals inspected for leaks and deterioration.

All exterior lights tested including headlights, tail lights, brake lights, and indicators for correct operation.

Tread depth, wear patterns, and overall tyre condition assessed. Wheels checked for damage, kerbing, and correct fitment.

Panel gaps measured for consistency — uneven gaps across doors, bonnet, and boot can indicate previous accident repair.

Start & Idle

Cold start behaviour and idle quality assessed. Unusual noises, vibrations, or smoke from the engine bay noted and reported.

Engine oil, coolant, brake fluid, power steering fluid, and washer fluid levels checked and condition assessed.

Engine bay thoroughly inspected for signs of oil, coolant, or other fluid leaks from hoses, gaskets, and seals.

Drive belts and coolant hoses inspected for cracking, fraying, and signs of age-related wear.

Steering wheel play and response assessed. Unusual noises under steering input noted.

Front suspension components including ball joints and rubber bushings inspected for wear and excess play.

All wheel bearings assessed for roughness, noise, and play during the road test.

Tyre wear patterns used as indicators of potential alignment or suspension geometry issues.

Vehicle ride height assessed for signs of spring sag or non-standard lowering modifications.

Pad Thickness

Front and rear brake pad remaining thickness estimated and reported with a recommendation on service intervals.

Rotor thickness, scoring depth, and rust pitting assessed on all four corners of the vehicle.

Accessible brake lines and hoses visually inspected for corrosion, leaks, and physical damage.

All doors tested for central locking function using both the key fob and interior door controls.

All electric windows tested for smooth, full-travel operation and correct seating in the rubber seals.

Electric mirror adjustment tested for full range of movement. Heated mirrors tested where fitted.

All gauges and warning indicators tested for correct operation and illumination.

Front and rear wipers tested across all speed settings. Washer jets checked for correct aim and output.

USB ports and 12V outlets tested for power output and correct function.
