Sabine has earned her master’s degree in Sports Management and is currently working toward a FIBA European Coaching Certificate. She works as an athletic supervisor at the Lebanese American University (LAU), but also as a freelance sports event manager. Being a professional basketball player both internationally and locally since 2000, Sabine recognizes the importance of sports volunteering, as she volunteered during the Olympic Games of Rio in 2016 and has been working with Beirut Marathon for ten years.
Farah is an interior architect holding a master’s degree in Interior Architecture. Given her passion for sports, she is currently working toward a master’s degree in Olympic Education, Management, and Organization of Olympic Events. Farah is a rowing athlete since 2001 and has earned her certificate as a rowing coach – level 1 in 2019. Recognizing the importance of volunteering, she offers her services whenever she found a convenient opportunity: she volunteered during the Beirut Marathon and the Olympic Day in 2000, 2003, 2004, 2017, and 2018.
Rabih Reaidy holds a master’s degree in Management for HEC Montreal and USEK, in addition to a BS in Engineering Sciences. He is actually pursuing another master’s degree in Educational Management at USEK. Since 2012, he provides capacity-building and quality control services in monitoring and assessment in Lebanon and many other countries. He is also the founder of “Planea” – an educational management services firm. Rabih started his sports journey in 1996 as a Basketball player in his schools’ sports teams. In 2015, he became a member of the executive board of “La Tour Antoura Club” and in 2020, he was elected as the club’s Vice-president. Similarly, he is a member of the Lebanese Fencing Federation. Rabih is a volunteer since 2008, working with many NGOs such as Biladi, Offre Joie, Terre Liban, Arcenciel, and the Lebanese Foundation for Permanent Civil Peace (LFPCP).
Patricia is a PE teacher and sports physiotherapist holding a master’s degree in Sports Management. During her childhood, she practiced Kung Fu and earned several medals in national and international championships.
She is the General-Secretary of Odyssey thanks to her unique experience, which eventually led her to her current career. In 2016, she volunteered in the press and media department at the Rio Olympic Games. Working in a multicultural team, she learned exceptional professional and personal skills. Today, she believes that Odyssey is a place where young volunteers and sports enthusiasts will have the chance to take our national sports events to the next level.
Alicia has been passionate about sports since her youngest age and is involved in many activities such as horseback riding, badminton, and Kung Fu to acquire new skills and expand her cultural horizon. Having a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and Sports and a teaching diploma, she is currently working as a physical education teacher at Collège Notre-Dame de Jamhour. She volunteered as a National Olympic Committee Assistant for the Belgium Olympic Committee – European Games 2019 in Minsk, and during the Beirut Marathon. Alicia believes that sharing her passion through Odyssey will help spread sports values and advertise their impact on society. She understands that not only does sports volunteering develop physical fitness, but it also nurtures interpersonal skills.
Inspired by his several volunteering experiences, Christian always dreamt of founding a sport volunteering NGO and is now the President of Odyssey. He won many national and international competitions during his career and was National Wushu Kung Fu Champion for eight consecutive years. As a sports volunteer, he participated in the Modern Pentathlon World Cup 2016, the European Youth Olympic Festival in 2017, the European Games in 2019, and intends to attend the Tokyo 2020 Olympics in 2021. Turning his passion into his job, Christian works as a lecturer at Antonine University and is a physical education teacher at Collège Notre-Dame de Jamhour.
Fouad is a performance-driven professional gifted with the ability to detect the capabilities of individuals and help them grow. He coaches them to help them achieve their peak performance at work and in life. Given his skills, it is no surprise that he is the Human Resources Director at Antonine University, where he is also the Founder and Director of their Center for Career Development. With more than 11 years in Human Resources and Project Management, Fouad topped his executive MBA in Finance with plenty of social work and volunteering experience. He is now sharing his passion for sports by assisting Odyssey as a consultant.
